What is kairo

It Japan who invented kairo – disposal heating packs.
The development of disposable heaters began in Japan along with the development of equipment used by the army in cold climates, using a very simple technology to provide ultra-fast heating – mixing iron powder and salt in a bottle of water and obtaining a thermal effect. It was based on the chemical principle that “iron powder gives off heat when it oxidizes, i.e. when it rusts.”

Classic heating pack / haranai kairo type

It looks like a small pillow – written in Japanese 貼らない – this type of kairo is traditional classic heating pack. Get it out of the pack and in 2 minutes it will get warm! Kairo can stay warm up to 20 hours! Max temperature – up to 50 C.

Sticking heating packs / haru type

So-called haru-heating packs (written by Japanese 貼る), need to activate by dragging down the protection and then stick to underwear like t-shirt . Such kairos can stay warm up tp 14 hours. Max temperature – 63 C, average – 55 C.
